Kevin is a Principal shareholder and the President of NL Fisher.
Kevin started out as a child in Southern Saskatchewan and in 1981 graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Kevin spent years in the field working throughout Southern Alberta on drilling and service rigs with Suncor. Kevin’s drilling and completion engineering experience has included areas from SE Saskatchewan through NE British Columbia and into the Northwest Territories. Kevin consulted to Shell in the mid 1990’s as an Underbalanced Drilling Supervisor for the first UBD offshore drilling program in the North Sea. Kevin has been involved with NL Fisher since 1996 and became a Principal in 1997.
Kevin’s experience and relationships enable NL Fisher to secure up to 25 drilling rigs in the busy 2004-2006 environment for his clients.
With 30 years of oil and gas engineering and operational experience Kevin brings his leadership and extensive knowledge (sweet shallow to deep critical wells) in all areas of the upstream oil and gas industry to manage and create a successful partnership for the NL Fisher Team and NL Fisher clients.
Kevin spends his spare time teeing-off with his partner, Pamela and is known to work towards a “hole in one” every chance he can.
Mike is a Principal shareholder and the Director of Oil & Gas Operations for NL Fisher.
Mike graduated from University of Regina in 1996 with Bachelor of Applied Science from the Industrial Systems Engineering Program. Prior to joining NLF he held the position of General Manger for Fairford Steel Products; Pipeline Integrity Engineer for TransGas and; Plant & Unit Operations Engineer for Consumers Cooperative Refinery.
Mike’s focus has been on drilling and engineering consulting to variety of oil and gas companies in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
Mike’s engineering expertise, passion for operational excellence and commitment to safety consistently meets the expectations and objectives of the oil companies he services in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Mike’s innovation and productivity are creating a business management design within NL Fisher that exceeds other competitors.
Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and his two children and participating in the Calgary community. Mike also enjoys hockey, golf, his favourite lunch time activity is spin classes and spending time with friends. Mike enjoys romantic dinners and long walks on the beach...
Stacey is the Team Lead, Completions for NL Fisher.
Stacey graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta in 1994. Prior to NLF, Stacey has diverse experience working as a Consultant for a variety of oil and gas companies; Manager of Drilling & Completions for TransGlobe Energy and Manager, Engineering for C1 Energy. Stacey has extensive experience working for his family’s oil and gas service business and as a gas plant and oil battery operator. This has given him a practical, hands on perspective and approach to completions work.
Since 1989, Stacey has been employed in the oil and gas industry participating in production operations, completions, drilling, facilities, reservoir engineering, development planning, and acquisitions. He specializes in horizontal completions including multi-zone horizontal fracturing. Stacey’s technical expertise and complete project management experience ensure NLF’s clients have successful “completions” projects.
Stacey’s personal time is spent with his wife and two children. Stacey enjoys creating and building his children’s dream “playground” inside and out. Stacey also enjoys design and construction and supporting his wife’s journey completing her Master’s Degree.
Pete is the Team Lead of two divisions with NL Fisher which are; Team Lead, Construction & Regulatory Compliance and Coordinator, Field Supervision & HSE.
Pete graduated in 2003 from Lethbridge Community College, in Engineering Design & Drafting Technology.
Pete’s strengths of patience and perseverance have created a valued position within NL Fisher ensuring at all times that the companies and field staff that NL Fisher services have their needs met in a timely and professional manner. Pete’s diverse experience at all times shows in his commitment to Safety and Regulatory Compliance to ensure NL Fisher is exceeding industry standards set by the ERCB.
Pete is a well organized and conscientious individual working hard to put all the pieces of the “operational” puzzle together.
Pete spends his spare time playing hockey, evaluating football and encouraging his wife in her home design & decor business in Bragg Creek.
Greg is currently a consultant on the team of Completion Engineers to NL Fisher.
Greg’s diverse range of experience enables him to understand the complex needs of an oil and gas exploration company and how they relate to the overall success of a company.
Greg began his career in the Oil and Gas industry in 1978, with the Energy Resources Conservation Board. In 1981, Greg redirected his energies to oil and gas engineering and over the past 29 years gained a diverse range of experience with an emphasis on drilling and completions. Greg has drilled and completed shallow, deep, sour, directional, horizontal, underbalanced, shale gas and tight gas, heavy oil and oil sands wells in just about every area of western Canada including Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia and the Northwest Territories. Throughout this time, Greg was employed by the ERCB, Candel Oil, Sulpetro Limited, Czar Resources, Paramount Resources, Liberty Oil and Gas, Promax Energy and Wiser Oil.
Commencing 2004, Greg has supplied engineering and operations consulting to a variety of oil and gas companies ranging from one person operations to large multinational resource companies and trusts.
Greg’s experience in management roles for all aspects of engineering and operations including, drilling, completions, production, pipelines, facilities, testing and reservoir engineering is an asset to his current position with NL Fisher.
Kevin is a Senior Drilling Engineer for NL Fisher.
With over 20 years of skillful engineering experience accomplished in the areas of long reach horizontals, directional, under-balanced, re-entries, shallow gas, high pressure, high temp and sour wells.
Kevin attend SAIT, in Calgary, Alberta and moved on to complete and B.Sc. Petroleum Engineering at Montana Tech. in 1979. In 1980, Kevin started his oil career with Precision as a Rig Hand, utilizing this operational understanding has brought Kevin a well educated theory and practical knowledge of the oil and gas industry in Western Canada. Kevin moved on to be a Drilling Engineer for Norwest Engineering Ltd., Senior Drilling Engineer for Murphy Oil, Ramdar Resource Management and currently with NL Fisher for Encana Oil and Gas Partnership.
Kevin’s strengths of effective communication, organization and education create a situation for NL Fisher clients that are cost effective with high standards of safety ensuring our clients’ needs are met.
